The Probationary Path – Hidden in Plain Sight

“As You Sow, So Shall You Reap”

Alice Bailey said we need to prepare for the Path of Initiation “by the discipline of the Probationary Path ... [which] works under the great law of attraction....” This is one of the “laws of the universe.”(Bold added)1

Benjamin Crème says Maitreya “will show how action begets reaction and thus how men create ... the circumstances of their lives.” This is the Principle of Cause and Effect, Karma, part of the Law of Attraction. Biblically, Crème says it’s ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’2

In Rick Warren’s sermon on Jan. 9, 2011, he said, “Goals focus my energy ... Energy that is focused has enormous power. ...Goals are like magnets, they draw you forward. ...Let’s sing a song about the God who gives us energy to set goals.”3

The Law of Attraction teaches all thought is energy and is magnetic to things that have a similar vibration. On Jan. 16, 2011, he said, “Any change you want to make in your life requires energy. The reason why you don’t change is you don’t have the energy.”4

Crème says Maitreya releases this energy “daily into the world and it is transforming humanity, working in men to produce the new spiritual vision.” He says, “Daily, His Ray awakens men to their true destiny....” We see daily messages transmitted through Warren’s website, called “Daily Hope.”(Bold added)5

Bailey says use of “speech and silence” must be acquired before Initiation. On Aug. 1, 2010, Warren said, “Listen for God’s whisper ... you’ve got to be quiet, learn to be still. ...Build your life on the promises of God, blank checks waiting to be claimed.” In his “Daily Hope,” he said, “...decide what you want, find a promise from God ... claim it.”6

On Sept. 19, 2010, he repeatedly said to be quiet, that Rancho Capistrano is for that purpose. “God has a good plan for your life. Tell God what you want out of life, your goals. Write your prayer requests as statements. Announce publicly what you want.” In the Law of Attraction, “When you write things down, you bring into form a thought or an idea.” The PDL says “write out action steps” from God’s Word.(Bold added)7

We see silence plus the Law of Abundance taught on Oct. 3, 2010. He said, “Blessing means to speak a good word ... The Lord will bless you with prosperity ... if I meet with him daily. In CLASS 201, we call this quiet time, where you just sit and be quiet.”8

We see the Laws of Cause and Effect and Gestation taught by Warren on Nov. 14, 2010. “Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly ... whoever sows generously will reap generously ... God compares generosity to sowing seeds ... if I sow a lot of seeds, I will have a lot of plants. The Bible says what you sow, you will reap ... It’s the law of the universe ... There are about a dozen laws of the harvest ... you always reap in a different season ... the seed, springtime, is coming.” Alice Bailey said, [M]ankind is reaping what it has sown, preparatory to a fresh ploughing in the springtime of the New Age, with a fresh sowing of the seed....”(Bold added)9

On Oct. 30, 2010, Warren tweeted, “Every seed goes thru a dark period before sprouting. You're hidden & nothing's happening in ur life…. Spring's coming!”(Bold added)10

At Apprising Ministries, Pastor Ken Silva wrote about a “tweet” that Rick Warren made on Sept. 14, 2010 that said, “Hiddenness is the place of purification. In hiddenness, we find our true selves.”(Bold added)11

In Warren’s sermon on Oct. 24, 2010, he said God uses normal people ... “to change the destiny of the world. God is hidden.”12

Crème tells us, “...[R]eligion in the New Age will be ... a vital, inner, subjective approach to the hidden divinity within ---- our true nature....” He says, “Awareness ... is a seed in all creation and in every individual.”(Bold added)13

A Man of Many “Principles”

The laws consist of “principles” that illustrate how they operate. We are part of the Christ Principle called Christ Consciousness, the creative force of the Law of Attraction. Bailey said that “He is coming to establish the principles and values, including the techniques, on which life must be based during the Aquarian age....”(Bold added)14

On Jan. 2, 2011, Warren’s sermon was titled, “What You See is What You Get.” This is the name of one of the principles that triggers the Law of Attraction.15

In his “Daily Hope” Jan. 18-22, 2011, he gave us the foundational principles necessary to “change anything in your life.” They are the Principles of Dedication, Evaluation, Cooperation, Affirmations, and Motivation, also given in his Jan. 16, 2010 sermon.16

On Jan. 23, 2011, he said he led the Lord’s Prayer during Obama’s Invocation, but we are not to pray it, it’s only a “model” for having a quiet time, for change, and reaching your goals. “Each of the elements of the Lord’s Prayer corresponds to one of the seven key areas for your life: emotional, spiritual, physical, mental, financial, and relational health,” the “principles to form your prayer around.”17

Crème said, “There will gradually emerge, not exactly a new religion, but a new approach to Divinity through invocation rather than through worship ... [an] awareness of ... the Divine.” He said Invocations are higher “words of power” than prayer and will eventually replace them. Using the Lord’s Prayer as an Invocation (invoking the Law of Attraction to fulfill the “seven key areas for your life”) fulfills Crème’s words. It won’t be long until “on earth as it is in heaven” becomes “as above, so below.”(Bold added)18

As we saw in the Maitreya article, Warren’s new book, The Hope You Need, is based on the Lord’s Prayer. He says the Invocation gave him the inspiration for this book. After several delays, Zondervan says the book has been postponed indefinitely, while Warren focuses on “other projects.”19

The Purpose and The Plan

Benjamin Crème says the Purpose in the new era is “the achievement of Self-realization,” when you are “illumined.” This is when “millions will begin the task of transformation – certain in the knowledge that they work towards the fulfillment of God's Plan for this Earth.”(Bold added)20

The subtitle of The Purpose Driven Life (PDL) asks, “What on Earth Am I Here For” and says, “It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for ... glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.” Again we see as above, so below.(Bold added)21

Alice Bailey said, “The world has a spiritual destiny. Behind evolution there is an abiding purpose, which we can call the Plan of God.”(Bold added)22

The Decade of Destiny began 10-10-10. Warren said, “It is a ten year plan for success to fulfill my personal destiny and our church family’s destiny. ...All of the eras in your life are over. You’ve got new eras and a new destiny. God says the Promised Land is your destiny, but you’re going to have to take possession of it. We will have to decide whether to stay in the desert or step into the river and cross the Jordan to live in the Promised Land with your church family. ...God’s plan and purpose and destiny for your life are good, and you get to choose it. Life and prosperity or death and destruction are the choices.” This is the N.A.R.’s “river of revival.”23

Maitreya says, “make your choice: a future bathed in light and love – or a denial of your destiny.”(Bold added)24

Crème says, “Every aspect of life --politics, economics, religion, art, culture, science, education” can be expressions of God. These are the seven “mountains” of culture.25

“And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.” (Rev. 17:9)

At Warren’s website it says, “Genesis 1-2 tells us that our God-given purpose is to rule the earth ... developing business, technology, art, music, sports, and countless other aspects of righteous God-honoring culture. ...God’s plan is to dwell with his people in a physical realm, bringing heaven to earth.” As above, so below.(Bold added)26
